Experience:
My professional experience includes providing psychotherapy for individuals (adult, adolescent and children) as well as couples and families, in a variety of settings. I have established and co-facilitated women’s domestic violence survivor groups as well as other self-help themed groups. My experience also includes providing crisis intervention and mental health services for children, adults, and families that have been victimized by crime under the auspices of the California Victim Compensation Program. This includes, but not limited to, victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse, and child sexual abuse. Additionally , I have experience providing inpatient and outpatient group and individual counseling as well as therapeutic intervention for adolescent and adults in inpatient hospitalization and acute partial hospitalization settings, including therapy for Axis 1 and Axis 2 mental disorders. Lastly, I also provide in home therapy services for victims of crime, homebound and hospice patients and their families.
With vast experience and history in the entertainment industry, I also specialize in assisting actors, singers, songwriters and musicians to overcome stress and anxiety relating to auditions, song writing, and performing, as well as the emotional roller coaster of show business. I work with people engaged in creative work to mobilize their talents and overcome blocks to achievement. I have also counseled and coached artists and their families to cope with the challenges, excitement as well as pros and cons of having a child in all facets of the entertainment industry. A workshop is currently available for parents who need guidance and insight in understanding and navigating their children's music and acting careers in a healthy manner. This workshop gives parents the basic knowledge on the "ins and outs" of show biz and the tools to make decisions in the best interest of the minor actor as well as their families.
I encourage positive growth to help clients actualize life goals both personally and professionally and help clients move on with their life to achieve their goals sooner rather than later
